Granite Netters gain experience against Loyola, Valley Christian
PHILIPSBURG – The Granite Lady Prospector Tennis team clashed with visiting Loyola and Valley Christian Tuesday in the Philipsburg Triangular. Lavinia Tenesch and Maya Flores were victorious in their matches against Breakers player. Flores defeated Mikinley Deschamps 6-1, 6-2 while Tenesch won a trio of sets from Olivia Wamsley 6-4, 7-5, 10-4. Commission reinstates 2021 kokanee regulations on Georgetown Lake
HELENA - The Fish and Wildlife Commission voted to reinstate the previous 2021 Georgetown Lake kokanee salmon regulations of no daily or possession limit to be effective immediately. At its October 2021 meeting, the commission adopted the Western District fishing regulation for kokanee salmon of 20 daily and 40 in possession for the 2022 Fishing Regulations, which went into effect March 1, 2022. Shooting takes Drummond man’s life
DRUMMOND – From a Granite County Sheriff’s Department Press Release…Emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a person with a gunshot wound, west of Drummond. A local man was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the matter determined, he died as a result of a self-inflicted wound. We at the Sheriff’s office would like express our sincere condolences to the family in their time of grieving.

GCMC offering sports physicals for Fall season
PHILIPSBURG – Athletes looking toward the 2022 Fall Season will want to take advantage of the Granite County Medical Center sports physicals. The wellness exams and sports physicals will be offered by appointment at the Philipsburg and Drummond Clinics. Appointments cane be made May 18th from 3-7 p.m. and will cost just $20. Granite, Drummond compete at Seeley Swan Track Meet
MISSOULA - The Drummond and Granite track and field teams competed in the Seeley Swan Meet Saturday in Missoula, with 25 total teams competing in boys and girls competition.
