Lady Eagles outmatched by visiting Lady Trojans
PABLO – Drummond journeyed to Pablo to take on the Two Eagle River Lady Eagles Tuesday, coming away with a 3-0 sweep.
The victory improves the locals to 4-1 in district play and securely in third place. Two Eagle falls to 0-5.
Kimber Parsons had a match best 12 kills for the Lady Trojans with Charlee Cline adding five. Anna Kate Sawfer dished 18 assists. Hazel Sawfer had a team best 14 aces, Brooke Hicks chipping in eight and CyLeigh Langton six.
Drummond now plays the last remaining top-tier team in the district Thursday when they face Seeley Swan at home. The Lady Blackhawks are 3-0 in district play with the Lady Trojans the first of the top-ranked teams in their way. The junior varsity starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7.
The match will also serve as part of Drummond’s Homecoming festivities.
