Granite misfires against Seeley in 3-0 loss
PHILIPSBURG – The Lady Prospectors continued to have communication issues Thursday night leading to a 3-0 sweep by the visiting Lady Blackhawks of Seeley Swan.
Granite (2-4, 2-3) came out with guns blazing to open the match, taking a five-point lead midway into the opening set. But when Seeley battled back to gain an advantage, the Lady Prospectors could not stem the tide and get back in front. As the match progressed, the locals seemed to have their energy wain and the Lady Blackhawks pulled away.
“Totally different team (tonight) than the one that played Drummond,” said GHS Head Coach Kayley Hansen of her team’s effort against Seeley Swan. “I told the girls, ‘We play like we practice,’ and last night we weren’t in it. They weren’t all the way in and it showed on the court.
The Lady Prospectors will play in the Sheridan Tournament Saturday and then host Lincoln Tuesday.
