Gardners Beware! Freezing temps headed our way Thursday, Friday

GRANITE COUNTY - The National Weather Service has some freezing temps headed toward Granite County as the week draws to a close.

For the Helmville and Georgetown Lake areas temperatures will be at or below freezing both Thursday and Friday nights, while Philipsburg and Drummond should only see them dip below 32 Friday.

The forecast for the weekend and beyond calls for a return to above average temperatures.

For area gardners attempting to extend the growing season, it means covering and wrapping sensitive plants may be in order.

And if you're heading out watch the Flint Creek Titans take on the Lone Peak Big Horns on George Mungus Field at Granite High School, a jacket will likely be in order.
