BREAKING: Post-Thanksgiving Winter Weather Advisory issued for Granite County

GRANITE COUNTY – Just after you and your family start to come out of your tryptophan-induced coma, get ready for a wintry blast Friday night into Saturday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a large portion of Granite County and surrounding areas.

After brief periods of snow Thursday and into Friday morning, a serious snow front will move into the area Friday afternoon and into Saturday morning. The storm is estimated to drop between 4-8 inches in Drummond and as much as a foot in the Philipsburg area.

Winds will also accompany the front, with gusts hitting as high as 14 mph countywide.

Temperatures will start out in the low 40s Friday, but quickly drop that night into Saturday and throughout the weekend.
