The Beartooth Wildlife Management Area (WMA) south of Great Falls has reopened to public use after a fire closed the WMA in mid-August.
The WMA closed to the public Aug. 14 due to a wildfire that started from a lightning strike.
“The Beartooth WMA has reopened,” said Gary Bertellotti, FWP Region 4 supervisor. “All fire activity has ceased. The suppression equipment and fire fighters have left the WMA.”
