Trojan boys split weekend set

The Drummond Trojans lost on the road and won at home in weekend games against Seeley and Lincoln.
Against Seeley Swan, the Trojans took a tough 69-58 loss on the road that set them to 0-2 on the year.
Drummond stayed within three after one period and stayed that way with a 31-28 deficit at the halftime break. But a 19-9 run by the Blackhawks proved to the be the turning point of the game and provided the eventual winning margin.
Colt Parsons posted a game-high 21 for the Trojans with Ethan Parke also adding 12.

In their return home Saturday night, Drummond (1-2) ripped off a 19-2 first quarter run on their way to routing the hapless Lynx.
11 of 12 Trojans found their way into the scorebook, with Reese Hilmo leading the way with 12 points. Trey Phillips (10) and Caleb Parke (9) were close behind in the scoring column.
Drummond will get a full week to get ready for their first meeting of the year against county rival Granite next Friday, January 15 in Philipsburg.
