TIP-OFF TOURNEY: Cutler leads Prospectors to win over Charlo in season opener

RONAN – It was a tough day for Granite County teams at the Tip-Off Tournament in Ronan Friday, with only the Prospectors boys claiming a win on opening night.

Granite Boys

Granite 66, Charlo 42

The Prospectors forced 15 first-half turnovers that allowed them to open 22-point leader after two periods on their way to an opening night win over Charlo in the Tip-Off Tournament.

“We were able to jump on them early,” Granite Head Coach Dustin Keltner. “I thought we played a pretty complete game for the opening game. We shared the ball well and had a lot of different guys score and contribute in other ways.  We rebounded well and finished around the rim for the most part.

“There are some things we need to clean up, but it's a good start for our guys.”

The Prospectors will face Hot Springs tomorrow in a game at 3:30 p.m.
