Three area ballers land seat on All-State teams
GRANITE COUNTY – Granite County found some of its players receiving postseason honors on the hardwood following the 2021 basketball season.
For the boys, the Granite Prospectors made it the deepest in the Division bracket and coming within a game of the Consolation Championship. Senior Kade Cutler was tabbed a member of the All-State team, and made the All-District First Team along with teammate Brian Ward. Making the All-District Second team were Prospectors Preston Metesh and Andrew Tallon.
The Drummond Trojans landed Caleb Park on the First Team and Colt Parsons on the Second Team.
The Lady Prospectors also got into the Divisional Tournament before bowing out of the postseason, with senior Amelia Hill getting selected to the All-State roster. Hill, along with Asha Comings and Rachel Ward were also named to the All-District First Team with Reece Pitcher selected to the Second Team.
Despite not getting out of the District Tournament, the Lady Trojans had senior Sydney Phillips selected to the All-State squad. Teammate Hannah Bradshaw made the All-District First team along with Phillips, while Holly Hauptman and Dena Parke were named to the Second Team.
