The Montana Osprey Project – Field Trip

Wednesday, July 10th at 9am.

Northwestern Energy is providing a bucket truck so that the team can go up to the nests and observe the chicks – They actually bring the chicks down to the ground to be weighed and measured and then plunk them back in the nest – and the parent birds are okay with it!  It is possible that one of the adult male birds is banded from a previous season!

We’ll meet at the library at 9 a.m. and carpool to the nesting locations.
