Prospectors claim victory over visiting Blackhawks

PHILIPSBURG – Andrew Tallon and Brian Ward led a first-quarter, 20-point run by Granite that led to a 64-38 win over Seeley Swan Saturday night. The win improves the Prospectors to 4-2 on the year.

“Andrew really set the tone for us early,” said GHS Head Coach Dustin Keltner after the win. “Our kids attacked their defense, shared the ball and played very well together tonight.”

Ward was high man for the game in the scoring column with 19, followed closely by Tallon with 18. Kade Cutler rounded out the double-figure scoring with 12.

The Prospectors will host Valley Christian Friday.
