Parke wins Grant-Kohrs Ranch Run in Deer Lodge
DEER LODGE – Loyola Sacred Heart may have won the meet as a team, but no one was faster over 5,000 meters than Drummond’s Scott Parke.
The Trojan senior ran to a time of 16:57.55, a full 40 seconds faster than Loyola’s Noah Kimball who claimed second at 17:37.74.
Drummond had three other runners in the field, with Parke’s younger cousin Dawson (freshman) finishing in the Top Ten at seventh in a time of 18:38.58. Fellow freshmen Kai Knoeller (41st, 25:04.98) and Caiden Suthers (48th, 26:03.72) rounded out the local contingent.
The Trojans runners will compete next at the Flathead Invitational Friday, September 1.
