Lady Trojans fly past visiting Eagles

DRUMMOND – Drummond took a quarter to get it’s game in gear, but when they did they raced past the visiting Eagles of Valley Christian, 58-32.

The Lady Trojans were up[ by just a bucket after eight minutes, with Valley’s Taylor Vance and Maggie Harvey keeping them close.

“We missed a lot of buckets we should have made and they came out and shot the ball well. I changed up our defense and moved girls around and that seemed to help things out,” said DHS Head Coach Nate Bignell after the game. “We’re just trying things out and seeing what works best for when the postseason starts”

Lady Trojan seniors Sydney Phillips and Hannah Bradshaw were up the task, leading the locals with six points each in the period. The two were leading scorers for Drummond as their game got going, as Phillips finished with 22 points and Bradshaw 18.

The Lady Trojans will get some time off to prepare for Thursday when they host the Panthers from Sheridan.
