Lady Trojans cage Wildcats on the road

HARRISON – The Drummond Volleyball Team played its fourth set of matches in eight days Thursday, sweeping Harrison-Willow Creek on the road, 25-9, 25-14, 25-15.

“We used a new rotation tonight that worked very well,” said Drummond Head Coach Brooks Phillips. “The girls talked more and their coverage was much better. They were more aggressive and went after everything.”

That aggressiveness led to a game one win that saw Drummond not even complete service rotation. That put the Lady Trojans on a roll that led to wins in games two and three and a sweep of the evening.

Drummond was tough as nails from the service line, with Deanna Parke logging 10 aces in 27 attempts. Hannah Bradshaw was close behind with seven aces in 17 serves.

Bradshaw was also tops in digs with eight while Rylee Hilmo dished out 17 assists.

Sydney Phillips had a season-best 15 kills and one block.

Drummond will close out its hectic 10-day run by hosting Lima Saturday evening.
