Lady Trojans best visiting Falcons, ready for Granite Saturday
DRUMMOND – The Lady Trojans ran their record to 4-1 on the year with a 10-point win over Twin Bridges Friday night.
Drummond opened the game by establishing what would eventually be the game’s winning margin, 17-7. But the middle two periods saw the Falcons climb back into the game to trail by two after three quarters, 31-29. That’s when the Lady Trojans regained command of the game and put it away with a 15-7 run over the final eight minutes of play.
“The girls did a lot of good things today we still have some stuff to work on,” said DHS Head Coach Nate Bignell. “They fought through a lot of adversity tonight to get this victory.
“I'm excited to see how they are going to take what we've learned tonight and use it for tomorrow.”
Juniors Hannah Bradshaw and Sydney Phillips were the leading scorers for the locals with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Saturday brings the first matchup of county rivals when Granite visits Drummond Saturday, January 4.

Drummond fell to the Falcons on the JV Girls matchup with Jessie Struna scoring nine and Macy Williams, Liz Perry and Lilly Golyer each adding two.

A young Trojan squad battled visiting Twin Bridges Friday night, but came up short to lose their first game of the new year.
“The score might look a little lopsided, but I feel that we played pretty well tonight,” observed DHS Head Coach Levi Parsons. “We are very young and still doing a lot of rebuilding, but we are continuing to get better all the time. We played some very good defense and at times did some good things offensively.
“We are definitely going in the right direction.”
Caleb Parke led the Trojans with eight points while Wyatt Rigby chipped in six.
