Drummond’s ‘D’ shuts down visiting Sheridan


DRUMMOND – A strong defensive effort from the opening tip gave the Lady Trojans all the lead they would need as the raced to a 49-32 win over the Sheridan Panthers Thursday night at home.

“We had a great start to this game and our defense was on point most of the time,” said DHS Head Coach Nate Bignell. “The girls played great.”

Senior Sydney Phillips scored 16 of her game-high 20 points in the first half, helping Drummond build their first quarter lead with a pair of three pointers.

Holly Hauptman scored 12 and Hannah Bradshaw chipped in eight in the win.

The Lady Trojans will take to the road Friday, playing in Seeley Lake against the Blackhawks. That game will be broadcast on the NFHS Network.
