Flint Creek Titans release 2019 Schedule

GRANITE COUNTY – The Flint Creek Titans have released their 2019 8-Man Football Schedule.

The Titans have run off 25 consecutive wins over the past two seasons, winning the MHSA Class C State Title in both 2017 and 2018. Just as in those years, Flint Creek has lost several players to graduation and transfer while returning some key position players that should keep them in the postseason hunt. And as he has for the last two seasons, Mike Cutler will be at the helm with J.C. Holland and the rest of the staff at his side.

This year all games will be played on Friday nights and all games start at 7 p.m., save one.

Just like last season, the Titans will open against the Mountain Cats of Clark Fork August 30. This year the game will be played in Superior as the season-opening show case event turned out to be a one and done.

Week 2 will find the Trojans of Troy headed to George Mungas Field at Granite High School for the Flint Creek home opener. The Trojans-Titans game will be played Sept. 6 and is the only one this season to start at 6 p.m.

Week 3 finds the Titans on the road at Charlo on Friday the 13th. The games with the Vikings always prove to be tough as they are well-coached by Mike Krahn.

Week 4 will see the first of two games played in Drummond this season as the Blackhawks from Seeley Swan come into Granite County Sept. 20. Seeley could be in revenge mode after taking an 82-0 thumping last year in front of their home crowd.

In what may be the team’s longest road trip of the year, Flint Creek will head to Thompson Falls Sept. 27 to play the Blue Hawks. This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Homecoming 2019 will be Oct. 4 and will feature Flint Creek hosting the Warriors of Arlee.

Weeks 7 and 8 find the Titans on the road at Darby (Oct. 11) and Mission (Oct. 18).

When Flint Creek closes out the season they will do so against the Pirates of Victor Oct. 25. The game will also be Senior Night and will be played at Drummond High School.

Should the Titans make the postseason bracket, playoff games would begin Nov. 2.

Junior Varsity

The Titan JV team has eight games in its schedule, with six of them being at home. Their first game of the season is Tuesday, Sept. 3 at home against Clark Fork. All of their remaining seven games are played on Mondays. A complete list of their games can be found in the schedule attachment with this story.
