UPDATED: Three county school districts issue a delay for classes on Monday

GRANITE COUNTY – Three area school districts have declared openings for school tomorrow, Feb. 4, 2019.

Drummond Schools, Philipsburg Schools and Helmville Schools have all issued a two-hour delay to the start of school Monday due to snowy conditions that will likely persist into Tuesday. The delays were all relayed to the Flint Creek Courier via a teacher, administrator or automated system of each school.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of Granite County, with areas expected to receive between 5-11 inches of new snowfall over the next 24-36 hours.
