Lady Trojans stage fourth-quarter comeback to beat Clark Fork



DRUMMOND – The Lady Trojans used a furious fourth-quarter comeback to claim a 48-45 win over Clark Fork Thursday night in Drummond.

“We started off slow but we kept fighting and brought it when it matter the most,” said Lady Trojan Head Coach Nate Bignell. “I'm really proud of how they played at the end of the game.”

The end of the game saw Drummond trailing by six 39-33 at the end of three quarters. But Hannah Bradshaw worked her magic down low for the Lady Trojans over the final eight minutes, scoring seven points to lead the charge during a 15-6 run. Sophia de Santiago added four of her nine points in the game during the period.

Bradshaw finished with a game-high 15 points for Drummond.

The Lady Trojan’s home stand continues Friday night as they host Harrison/Willow Creek.

Jessie Struna scored seven points and Deana Parke five as the Lady Trojans fell to Clark Fork by a point.

DRUMMOND – The Trojans got off to a fast start on offense and defense in earning a 54-32 win Thursday night at home against the visiting Wildcats of Clark Fork.

Drummond dominated the first half, outscoring the visitors 33-2. Clark Fork only managed two first-half points on a pair of free throws by Michael Spence. Meanwhile the Trojans’ Jonah Parke racked up 15 of his game-high 17 over the same 16 minutes. Backed up by eight points from Luke Holland and five from Wyatt Rigby and the locals were well on their way to a victory.

Holland finished with 10 with Rigby chipping in seven and reserve guard Caleb Parke six. In all, eight of the 10 Trojans found their way into the scorebook.

Boys played very tough tonight, only allowing two points in the first half and continued to play strong defense in the second half,” said Drummond Head Coach Levi Parsons. “We were able to push the floor well and out-rebounded them by 20.

“(It’s) always a fun night when you can play your younger players so much!”
