Local Parties join forces to offer Candidate Forum
PHILIPSBURG - The county seat will be a hot one October 11 for those wishing to ascend to the post of public servant.
The Granite County Democrats and Granite County Republicans have joined forces to create a Candidates Forum October 11, 2018. The event will be held at the Granite County Museum.
The groups are inviting all of the candidates from the various races that will be on the Nov. 6 ballot. Citizens are encouraged to attend to hear the candidates and possibly interact with the during and after the event.
The Flint Creek Courier will broadcast the event LIVE on its Facebook Channel for those that cannot attend the event in person.
"This is an exciting opportunity for the county and for us," said Tim Allen, Managing Content Editor and CEO of the Courier. "Being able to provide this kind of connectivity for people that may otherwise not get the opportunity to see or hear these candidates is what social media is really all about. It's great to be able to serve the community in this fashion."
