Parker's hosts dinner to replenish scholarship fund

DRUMMOND - Parker's Restaurant hosted a fundraising dinner for the Sean Alexander Parker Culinary Scholarship Sunday evening, with a full house of guests enjoying dishes that were definitely a cut above the rest.

Preparing the mushroom appetizer are (from left), Brent Parker Jr., Rashel Helther and Emberli Clute.

Along with an array of incredible tasting dishes, one of the appetizers were locally hand-picked Morel mushrooms, dipped in Philipsburg Brewing Co. Otter Water Summer Pale, dredged in a seasoned panko bread crumbs, deep fried with a side of Herb Garlic mayonnaise (pictured at right).

Funds from the dinner will go to a scholarship that will assist 2017 graduating members of the Culinary Arts Program at Drummond High School as they move onto college.
