Valley Fire quells fire along I-90 east of Drummond

DRUMMOND – The Valley Fire District Volunteer Fire Department was called to respond to a grass fire east of Drummond near mile marker 156.

The blaze was located just south of the railroad tracks near the frontage road. According to those on scene, the fire was likely started by a passing train.

Tricks from the Drummond and Gold Creek stations responded, putting down the fire in short order. There were no injuries or significant loss of property.
