Second chance to see ‘Saving the Burg’ coming in December

GRANITE COUNTY – If you missed the premier or subsequent showing of the documentary “Saving the Burg” earlier this year, your second chance is coming as an early Christmas gift in December.

Jim Jenner, creator of the documentary, notified the Flint Creek Courier this week that the 60-minute feature would get additional air times on Montana PBS. ‘Saving the Burg’ covers how the city of Philipsburg, Montana came together to recreate and re-brand itself as one of America’s most beautiful and enjoyable small towns. As the tagline says, “It’s a story of blood, sweat and beers.”

‘Saving the Burg’ will air on Montana PBS on the following dates & times:

  • Dec. 2 @ 7 p.m.

  • Dec. 4 @ 12:30 p.m. & 11:30 p.m.

  • Dec. 8 @ 10:30 a.m.

  • Dec. 13 @ 1:30 a.m.

Editor’s Note

My wife and I were a unique audience for this film, as she grew up here and I was transplanted in 2015. Yet for the entirety of the piece we were both captivated by the information presented as well as the reflections of days gone by. It is a program that speaks to everyone from newcomers to old timers and everyone in between. ~ Tim Allen
