Lady Prospectors finish third at District 12C Tournament
MANHATTAN – For the second straight year it was Ennis and Twin Bridges finishing one-two in the Class C District 12C Girls Volleyball Tournament. And for the second straight year the Granite Lady Prospectors claimed third.
The Lady Prospectors fell to Twin Bridges in four games Friday morning 25-17, 25-11, 24-26, 15-15. The loss drops them out of postseason play.
“We have had a great season, I couldn't be prouder of the girls,” said Granite Head Coach Jennifer Graham. “It's always bittersweet, especially losing a senior like Sierra Metesh; she has hard shoes to fill.”
Metesh finished her final match as a Lady Prospector with her typical strong defensive game, collecting a team-high 22 digs. Amelia Hill was tops in Kills (6) and blocks (5.5) while Emma Grange led in assists (13) and aces (3).
