Lady Prospectors down Sheridan on the road

SHERIDAN – The Granite Girls Volleyball team hit the road to play in Sheridan Thursday night, beating the hoist Panthers in straight sets 25-19, 25-7, 25-13.

“The girls played well, they started a little slow but the really found their grove,” said Head Coach Jennifer Graham. “We have a day and then off to the Manhattan Christian tournament where we play Red Lodge, Twin, Lone Peak and Manhattan Christian. It is exciting because three out of those four teams we have not seen yet.”

Amelia Hill led the Lady Prospectors with five kills and 4.5 blocks. Emma Grange dished out 12 of the team’s 14 assists, while Sierra Metesh led in digs with nine. Asha Comings had half of Granite’s service aces with four.

Both the Lady Prospectors and the Lady Trojans will play Saturday at the Manhattan Christian event. Then both teams are on the road next week for further play against district opponents.
