Drummond battles Twin in three game loss

TWIN BRIDGES – When you look at the score, a straight set loss to anyone looks like they beat you badly. But such was not the case Friday in Twin Bridges.

The Lady Trojans fell to the Falcons 26-24, 25-17, 25-19 in girls volleyball. Drummond falls to 3-3 on the season.

“We still need to work on few things here and there but we improve each game,” said Drummond Head Coach Shona Bradshaw.

The Lady Trojans sport a young squad that at times puts as many as four sophomores on the floor. Despite that they put a good Twin Bridges team to the test on the road.

Sydney Phillips and Hailey Swarengen led the Lady Trojans with four kills apiece, with Swarengen also adding three service aces. Sara Kielley led the team in that department with four.

Kielley had six assists and led in blocks two. Hannah Bradshaw and Phillips contributed one each. Rylee Hilmo was tops on defensive digs with eight.

Drummond gets no break as they head to Seeley Lake to play the Blackhawks Saturday on the road.

Game score

Drummond 24/17/19 – 0

Twin Bridges 26/25/25 - 3
