DRUMMOND - RELEASE THE DUCKS!
The Valley Fire District will be holding its annual Duck Races Friday night at the Town of Drummond Park just south of town. The event was rescheduled to August 3 after the Clark Fork River was determined to be too high to be safe during the 2018 Drummond Kiwanis PRCA Rodeo Weekend July 8.
The event will start getting organized around 6:30 with ducks hitting the waters of the Clark Fork at 7 p.m.
The volunteer fire department has sold most of its tickets, but there may be a few left if you attend the event and get in on the bidding. The tickets are typically $5 each or a flock of five for $20. The first, second and third place ducks all pay cash!
All proceeds from the event go to the Valley Fire District for equipment and vehicles.
