Lady Trojans see offense wake up in road games

It looked like six more losses in the standings, but progress was clearly evident for the Lady Trojan softball team this week in the score book. The first of the three double headers started Monday with Drummond falling to Thompson Falls 16-4 and 12-5. Makenzie Adler started Game 1 and earned four strikeouts while Allie Parke pitched the closer and notched seven strikeouts. The Trojans collected 12 hits in the twin bill, seven coming the opener. Adler and Parke were joined by teammates Emille Cartmill, Katelyn Greenwood, Ahnna Goodrich , Danica Batson and Emilee Steinberg in the hit column, all with one single each. Tim Allen, President of the Drummond Community Chamber of Commerce, was the guest speaker during the Night at the Library program for April. Allen spoke on Identity Theft, telling people how perpetrators try to steal their information and what steps they can take to avoid being a victim. Drummond F1 Club places fourth

First-year team gains valuable experience in Bozeman competition. The Drummond F1 Car Club got off to a fast start March 24-26 in Bozeman, returning from their first competition in with a fourth-place finish among 12 teams entered. Drummond took top honors in the Presentation Portfolio and Tech Design divisions to aid them in their finish. "One of the big things we did that other teams didn't was to show the team budget and ROI (Return on Investment)," Elizabeth Cartmill, the team's Pit Display leader. Granite County holds open forum to introduce communities to idea of a Student Resource Officer on Campus. DRUMMOND - Their last name most likely won't be Friday, but the new School Resource Officer (SRO) being hired by Granite County will be working the day-watch out of our local schools. The Granite County Commissioners Office, in conjunction with the Drummond School Board and Granite Sherriff's Department, held an informational meeting April 5 at the Drummond School & Community Library to give interested parties a preview of what the new position in local schools will look like.
